First hardware QM synthesis realization

Hey and Happy New Year guys!

The time goes slow and it still goes. Beatretreat did a first hardware QM synthesis patch for Clavia Nord Modular G2 recently. Unfortunately, I can’t afford any of Clavia gears. But I’ve got another little New Year present for my self, I’ve bought - Korg MS2000R. Gotta ruin a couple of days to explore the gear. I wonder if it’s possible to alter the firmware to make possible QM synthesis inside the MS2000. Anyway, I hope I’ll make first true analogue QM synthesizer this year. Of course, major synths builders are not interested in technologies besides their own ones, especially when it comes to the simple&effective ones, remember James Dyson with his cyclonic separation?… Anyway, I’m pretty interested in building my own QM synth prototype now.

I’ve been quite busy lately. And honestly, I didn’t manage to get my hands back to Reaktor. But anyway, I’ve got some future plans for the project and a couple of frozen ensembles to unfreeze. See ya.

Glad to see you’re back Zed.

Just wanted to let you know that the NMG2 demo will probably allow you to try this patch. Pick up some of Megerov’s, and JLS’s patches too.

    Really looking forward to Breakshade2.

Yeah, I’ve checked the demo. I must admit (my) Reaktor realization is way more powerful in QM synthesis demonstration. It makes so obvious I’ve put so much effort into source wave forming. And since it’s got direct connection with the output sound spectrum I wouldn’t recommend to use just a few simple oscillators as source wave. Modulation index does some serious sense as well..
About Breakshade2.. I’ll probably sit to construct that one later this year. I assume it’s going to be more and more experimental drum machine..
