Coming Back To Life

Hello there!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted something useful. Of course, I really do hope you’ve enjoyed the QM synthesis, and also I hope you won’t put the idea on a dusty shelf.

Now, I’ve set my hardware and software back to life, I’ve got another xDSL connection which makes a big difference to me. Now I’m ready to comeback to posting my ideas. Next few days I’ll be working in Reaktor, then it’s gonna happen.

hehe… yeah, actually I’m shocked the time goes away so fast, the month was one of the most shortest months of my life. Anyway, I’ve got something interesting to post, the ensemble is basically ready, gotta prepare some graphics and text…

    Cya soon!

    Hello,
Popping over to borrow some sugar.
    Any new developments?
Could you could provide some insight into the QM synth wave display? I found the cymatic - geometric forms to be especially intriguing, and was hoping you would share how they were formed.

You mean QM synth’s output wave or the source modulator’s wave? The geometric forms formed with a simple circumference scope, it takes a source modulator wave (which produced by Jericho-mod OSC) and draw circles with the quantization frequency. Actually, there is a proper description in the QM synthesis post, “visualization notes”.
I’ll continue the development soon, I want to find another effective way of the quantized modulation usage. Maybe for effect-processing, maybe another kind of synthesis.

Well, “creating tight beats” include some experimental drum machine, but I’m sure there will be 2.0 version, which is probably going to be more practical.
