General purpose LFO unit macro

LFO unit structureGeneral purpose wireless LFO unit is another building block which is one of the fundamental macroses for my synths and samplers. The design and the functionality has been hardly optimized. The LFO unit provides a wide range of waveforms and can cooperate with the same LFO or another macroses based on 0 … +1 range. If you read the blog then you should know what "multi-reflecting" and "parabolic shaper" do with the waves form, both transformers makes the output wave less boring. I can’t imagine my future works without the LFO unit.

Wireless in/out terminals:

  • Sync source, sync occurs when the terminal receive
    incoming >0.5 event signal
  • Modulation source, incoming range: 0 … +1
  • LFO output, range: 0 … +1

Controls:

  • Sync LED
  • Timing spin selector, range /32 … x32 oscillations per bar
  • Waveform spin selector, waveforms: sine, triangle, pulse, random
  • Multi-reflection levels for the output wave, levels: x1 … x4, default:
    off
  • Symmetry factor, range -1 … +1, default: 1
  • Sync phase, range -1 … +1, default: 1
  • Fx - timing fine-tune, frequency factor 0 … 2, default: x1
  • Mod -external frequency modulating factor, range: -1 … +1, 0 = no modulation
  • Par - parabolic shaper of the output wave

I did my best on the design optimization and now it’s quite simple to build
racks with the LFO :)
